Default Ascalon Arena...

I think that they should introduce Gladiator points into Ascalon Arena.

It gets pretty competitive there and it still is a random arena, although you have to be under level 10 and have no elites. But that adds to the fun and difficulty.

My 2 cents.

I think they should change it to a minigame that u can play to get gamer points, along with the other low level arenas of the game.

AA is meant to introduce newbies to pvp, reproducing the dynamics of ra; glads in aa will just attract more and more experienced players, which will sync and kill the fun for the random people there.

Um.... no, because that would lead to extreme exploitation. Even without the ability to use elite skills, players can still use normal skills that are found way ahead in the game. You're proposing rewards to a system that is already unbalanced.

The only way I would agree with giving any kind of reward in low level arenas is by making them have an environment effect similar to the Journey to the North effect that modifies the stats of those that enter, making all of them equal, and allowing ALL characters to enter, regardless of level.
Level wont matter since you'll be moved to level 10 (Ascalon, Shing Jea, Kamadan) or 15 (Shiverpeaks Arena) when entering them.

They would be true low-level arenas, without advantages.

Unless such an effect is added to the 4 low-level arenas, absolutely no kind of reward should be received in them, not even the Balthazar and Exp players may already get.

Great suggestion. It also may be a good idea to scale AL because right now people who got runs to Droks and have max armor have an advantage over the newbies who go in with low AL.

Ascalon Arena is a pretty unfair arena due to those who get runs to droks or come from another campaign, it needs something like Mithran suggested which has been suggested multiple times for the low level arenas but still hasn't happened.... hmm...

Turn it into a Challenge Mission.

Heck, while we're on the subject, turn the old Shiverpeak Arena and Krytan Arena into challenges as well.

Hold the Line on the wall versus ever-growing waves of Charr forces, being bolstered to level 20 by a Journey to the North/Sunspear Battle Call effect.

Run NPCs through a gauntlet of nefarious shiverpeak denizens, saving as many as you can.

Fight against endless waves of undead from all directions as they attack your shrine of mending, slaughtering villagers who rise themselves as twisted minions.

Prophecies lacks challenge missions, why not give it a few?

Ascalon Arena sure has changed since I started playing. It used to be quite balanced with just the core classes. But ever since factions and nightfall, people have ferried these 4 newer classes far across the map to get to the ascalon arena under level 10 and whoop core class' asses. This is where Ascalon Arena lost it's luster. Dervishes and Assassins among the most abused classes in there completely destroying anyone who didn't have max armor. And who wanted max armor in a starting arena? I don't understand why A-Net can't change it. It would be alot more fun if it was a core-class-only/prophicies character only arena, keeping the level cap of 10, keeping elites out obviously, removing the use of non core/prophicies skills within the arena, and changing it so that you cannot enter with armor that is higher than what you can purchase in ascalon city or obtain in ascalon itself through collectors. Any armor that was not obtained in ascalon will restrict you from entering the level 10 arena. It is a level 10 arena, it should be kept low and balanced considering it is in the starting area of prophecies, not the arena where everyone should get max armor outside of kamadan on their dervish and run to ascalon to destroy the weak core classes.

Also, they should have never taken out the arenas in LA, HoD, Amnoon or Ember Light Camp. I know you can access them from RA but keepin the original probably would have been fun and kept a slight aspect of PvP to play every once in a while in the PvE areas of the game. And keep them closed off from parties comming in from RA.

People were generally of higher level when they got to these arenas so they probably decided to bunch it all up in RA. Though I would've liked to have these arenas opened, the areas are now used for something else.
Lion's Gate is where the old arena used to be.
The area for the Droknar's Forge Arena is now the endgame area for the game.
Amnoon.... no idea what they're going to do with that one lol but most people are generally at level 20 by then.

I would have liked to see the old arena outposts. You can only see them from playing RA when you are in one of those maps. Another thing is, if they were still available, wouldn't they each count as like 1% to explorer title?

They'd be nowhere near 1% each for the title. Maybe 0.3% for all of them. They provide such an insignificant amount of map that it doesn't make any difference that you don't have them.

They removed them from the title.

Yet they help.

And it's a waste to have those arenas to be used only by new characters.
